Why we built this

Good deals sell in minutes. By the time you've refreshed five different apps, someone else has already messaged the seller. We built List Mantis because we got tired of being the third reply.

The refresh game

Five apps open, thumb bouncing between them. It's a full-time job.

Gone in sixty seconds

The best listings get snapped up in minutes. If you aren't there, you aren't getting it.

Five apps, five logins

Each marketplace has its own quirks, filters, and gotchas. It's exhausting keeping up with them all.

How it works

Three steps. That's it.

Set it up once, then let the mantis keep watch.

1

Set a search

We can suggest your keywords, marketplaces and settings, or add them yourself. Done.

2

We watch, 24/7

We check every marketplace continuously. Synonyms, stopwords, and location filters run automatically.

3

Get notified

A push straight to your phone plus a clean email digest. Tap to jump to the listing — before anyone else does.

Features

Built for people who are serious about a good deal.

All five marketplaces

Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Gumtree, AutoTrader and Vinted — covered in one feed.

Real-time alerts

Push notifications on iOS and the web, plus clean email digests. Delivered the moment we spot a match.

Smart matching

Synonyms, stopwords and fuzzy matching catch listings that simple keyword search would miss.

Location-aware

Set a UK postcode and a radius. You only see listings you can actually drive to.

Vehicle intelligence

We extract registration plates from listing photos and pull the MOT history from DVSA. Zero tab-hopping.

Zero noise

Warm-up windows, dedupe rules, and tight filters keep your inbox clean. Only real matches get through.

Vehicle searches

Buying a car? We check the MOT for you.

List Mantis spots a vehicle listing, extracts the registration plate straight from the photos, and pulls its MOT history from the DVSA — the government's official database. No opening new tabs. No copy-pasting plates. Just the facts, right there in your alert.

  • Full MOT history, including advisories and failures
  • Recorded mileage over time — spot clockers at a glance
  • Fuel type, road tax status, and more

FAQ

Answers to the usual questions.

Didn't find what you need? Email hello@listmantis.com and we'll get back to you.

Which marketplaces are covered?

Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Gumtree, AutoTrader, and Vinted. We're UK-focused — listings outside the UK are filtered out by default.

How fast are the alerts?

Your alert should arrive no later than 3 minutes after a listing goes live — and typically within a minute or two. Speed is the same on every plan; there's no faster tier to upgrade to.

Is there an iOS app?

Yes — and it's how we're launching. The iOS app is the primary way to sign up and subscribe; a web version follows shortly after. Web push works on most modern browsers today for existing beta testers.

How much will it cost?

Two plans: Standard at £9.99 / month (up to 5 saved searches) and Pro at £24.99 / month (up to 20). Both plans include every feature — push notifications, real-time alerts, vehicle intelligence, all five marketplaces. The only difference is the search count.

We're launching on the App Store first. Subscriptions are handled by Apple with a 7-day free trial — cancel any time in the trial and pay nothing. Web subscriptions follow shortly after launch. Existing beta testers keep Pro features free through the launch period.

How do I get access?

We're launching on the App Store first — that's where new sign-ups will happen. Follow this page for launch news; when the app goes live, download it and start your 7-day free trial. Web sign-up follows shortly after. Existing beta testers can already sign in here.

What happens to my data?

We only collect what's needed to run your searches and send you alerts. No advertising cookies, no data brokers, no reselling. See the full privacy policy for details.

Who's building this?
